Shirley Poppy Mother of Pearl Seeds

Mother of Peal Poppies look like a delicious dessert, with marble mocha-raspberry swirl blended with creamy white and pale pink. The double petals really stand out with this rosy bi-color variety.

Shirley Poppies are some of the easiest to grow, and their delicate blooms will gladly self-seed for years to come.

Spread seeds in the dirt 1/8" deep, 2" apart. Water gently and regularly as seedlings emerge over the next 2 weeks. Once babies are 2” tall, pluck so there's just one per 8-12".

Where to Plant: Find a place that gets mostly sun, and space plants about 9" apart. When to Plant: Early spring, or late fall if winters are mild.

Expect to bloom for about 6 weeks mid-summer. Water regularly until they get established, and then give them extra water during dry spells. Pick the flowers to encourage more blooms.
